Architecture and Computer-Aided Design Drafting are the key components of this program. Students will explore architectural design through sketches, computer generated design, computer graphics, computer rendering, manual rendering techniques, and computer modeling. Students will produce professional quality conceptual and working drawings of architectural structures incorporating computer graphics and computer modeling. Students will also have the opportunity to produce scale construction models of the structures they design. Students will have access to new software programs including AutoCAD, Autodesk Viz, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word. This course would be of interest to students wishing to pursue post-secondary studies in or a career in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, industrial design, or engineering.
