This computer driven program provides students with the opportunity to explore a variety of topics related to communication and visual media. Students gain experience using computers as an artistic tool and will apply this technology to create a variety of projects in the lab. Design process, photography, video production, desktop publishing / graphic design, and printing techniques featuring screen and offset printing are the required components of the 10 program. All modules focus on developing the creativity and the discipline to produce quality design work. At the 10 level, students are introduced to these areas and work to develop skills that will become the foundation of the 20 and 30 level courses. At the intermediate and advanced levels, students gain more exposure to industry standards and practices, and will continue to work towards creating professional quality visual media. Note: Students must receive a passing grade in each of the five modules in order to enroll in the next level.
