Art

This program provides opportunities for students to develop skills and techniques, and open the window to the world of visual experiences.  Portfolio development is fundamental at each level.  Marks will be assigned for completed projects only.

 

Art 10

(5 credits)

This unit explores studio experiences with a broad base of skill in drawing, composition, and painting. Basic skill enhancement is evaluated through project work.

Prerequisite:  None

Art 20

(5 credits)

Continued expansion of skills and portfolio building will be evaluated through project work.

Prerequisites:
50% minimum from the Art 10 program

Art 30

( 5 credits)

Specialization of skills with emphasis on portfolio production geared to post-secondary education and employment in the arts.  Evaluation through project and presentation of works.

Prerequisites:  a minimum of 50% from the
Art 20   5-credit program

Art 31

(5 credits)

Independent study, portfolio production, and development of resume materials for post-secondary entrance and related careers.

Prerequisite:  50% in Art 30
Fee:  $50.00
