Summer School

Summer School registration opens at 8.00 a.m. on Sunday, March 1st!

100% attendance is expected in all courses—there is a lot of coursework to be covered in the time allotted, and any lost time is detrimental to the student’s success.

All courses are offered subject to enrollment and availability.

HeLa Outdoor Adventure Camp

This unique summer school course provides students with the opportunity to experientially meet curriculum objectives for CALM 20, Physical Education 10 and CTS module options, utilizing outdoor pursuits activities as the medium for the experience.

June 27 - July 9 [no school July 3] or July 6 - July 16 [no school July 10]

 11 No prerequisites required.                          

In HeLa, students will have the opportunity to:

  • apply unique concepts learned through the CALM 20 and Physical Education curriculum, utilizing outdoor pursuits activities as the medium;
  • experience a variety of outdoor pursuits activities in a safe and supportive environment;
  • experience leadership from both a leader and group member perspective;
  • experience group development and team building concepts;
  • develop an understanding of care and protection of the environment;
  • develop proficiency in a variety of outdoor skills including flat and white-water canoeing,hiking and wilderness living; and
  • develop an interdependent relationship between themselves and other individuals and between themselves and the environment.
